Frequently Asked Questions
Who is Kelly?
Kelly is a global workforce solutions provider, which means we help companies around the world find and hire new talent (that’s you!) Why should I work with Kelly vs. finding something on my own?
Working with Kelly means a real person is advocating for you throughout your entire job search process. We do the heavy lifting for you, representing and connecting you to the people that actually make the hiring decisions, and preparing you to win at every step. And it begins as soon as you’ve uploaded your resume to our career site, giving our 1,000+ recruiters the ability to match you with exclusive opportunities you wouldn’t have access to on your own.
How much does it cost?
Nothing! We offer our services at no cost to job seekers.
I thought job placement companies only offered short-term jobs for quick cash over the holidays.
That’s a common misconception. The fact is that temporary work comes in many forms and while we do have great opportunities for quick gigs, we also have temporary-to-hire and direct-hire jobs, as well as high-paying jobs for degreed professionals in fields like science and engineering.
I still don’t know about this whole temporary work thing.
Independent work might seem scary at first, but for many, so is the idea of being stuck in a dead-end job. We spend our days advocating for those who are seeking a better way to live and work. A way to pursue passion projects and to keep from getting trapped in a boring, limited job. In fact, 33 percent of the current workforce is already working this way, and more are joining this movement every day. Temporary work is how bright people keep growing, learning, and evolving throughout their careers. And we think that makes temporary a beautiful thing.
What about benefits?
Benefits vary from company to company. Your recruiter will explain the benefits of any position you’re being considered for.
Do you offer training and development so I can improve my skills?
Yes! We have thousands of free training resources available to help you keep your skills sharp—including industry-specific courses, e-books, certification prep, and continuing education credits.
Sounds good to me, I’m ready to apply! Now what?
Great! Start your search in the search bar at the top of the page. It’s that simple!
I submitted my resume. What happens next?
Our recruiters are continuously reviewing candidate submissions. If your skills and experience meet the requirements of the position, or if we happen to find an opportunity we think is a match for you that you may have missed, a recruiter will contact you to move you forward in the selection process.
I submitted my resume or interviewed for a job and haven’t heard back from anyone. What happened?
There may be a few possible reasons. For example, the position may have been filled or you may not have met the minimum requirements for the job – in which case, that wasn’t the job for you! Don’t be discouraged! We post new jobs all the time, so continue to search and apply for positions that interest you and match your qualifications.
What if I don’t like the job?
It happens. Sometimes things just aren’t a good fit. We’ll be checking in with you to see how your new job is going, and we’ll start searching for your next opportunity if the job you accepted isn’t quite right.
